  Aryabhata (Sanskrit: आर्यभट, IAST: Āryabhaṭa) or Aryabhata I[2][3] (476–550 CE)[4][5] was the first of the major mathematician-astronomers from the classical age of Indian mathematics and Indian astronomy.
